Elmy’s Special Services offers Day Habilitation services to provide people with an opportunity to connect with others in their community through social, volunteer, and work-related activities. This program aims to assist each individual in becoming more involved in their immediate community, enhance their skills, and provide a springboard to graduate them to the next level in their lives. Day Habilitation With/Without Walls offers individuals with learning-conducive environments that enhance their academic and prevocational skills, including the library, technology center, game room, kitchen, gym, nursing homes, schools, local businesses, hospitals, etc.
Operation hours are from Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. We will provide transportation to and from the program every day.

What does our day habilitation include?
During the program week, individuals volunteer in these various worksites selected based on their needs, interests, and goals and will focus on academic areas with which they need assistance, such as reading, writing, mathematics, computer skills, and independent living skills. Once weekly, they will also participate in a planned recreational activity that is based on their interests and preferences.
